Print this pageA weekly class for anyone looking to learn silversmithing techniques through a series of jewellery projects, starting this week with rings. We will make at least 1 silver ring in the 2h workshop.
As you progress you will have the freedom to work on your own projects.
PLEASE NOTE: The class price does not include the cost of the silver material. Depending on the size/weight of the project you make, the cost of the silver will need to be paid on the day directly to the tutor, this ring project will be approximately £5-£10.
In this workshop you will learn how to measure, anneal and cut your design from either silver wire or silver sheet. We will solder, sand, add texture and polish the pieces using hand tools and machines to provide a wide range of understanding.
By the end of the workshop, you will have designed and made your own unique piece of jewellery to take home.
All equipment is provided, no experience needed.
The ring in the photo with the set stone was sent off and set by a diamond setter and not made in the class. We will not be setting any stones as beginners.
